What a treat our travel ballers had representing in sunny QLD for the Down Under Winter Classic with the Sox shaking it up in the 10โ€™s through to the 18โ€™s in Southern Sea Dawgs, Junior Cavs and South West Rhinos.

Congratulations to our very own ETHAN BICKEL on his outstanding representation at the Annual School Sport Australia (U18) Baseball Championships 2023 held at Lismore this past week.
The tournament is a contest between the top talent across Australian schools. This year, NSW competed for seven wins, with one loss and one draw. The team then went on to reclaim the championship title from QLD with a 6-4 win in the gold medal match.
Ethan pitched on Thursday vs WA with a 4 innings stint for 5 Strikeouts, 1 Hit and a Zero runs shutout, which won him the MVP for that game!

DAY 3 RE-CAP – Great work team!! Adam Bates is killing it, well done we are super proud!

Dominant performance by Australia defeating New Zealand 10-0. Adam Bates went 4 innings giving up only 1 hit along with 6 strikeouts. He was relived by Jayden Kim who went 2 innings with 4k’s. Offensively, Drew Davies led the way with 3 hits and 2 RBIโ€™s. Sam Gooch (2 hits and an RBI) and Blake Gooding (2 hits and an RBI) provided additional firepower.
The Blue Sox would like to recognise our development players for the 2022/23 season!
After last weekend, all three of these young men have made their ABL debuts. These three ball players are up and coming stars in the NSW State League for powerhouse clubs.

These players will compete in mid-January of next year. Two Perfect Game USA teams will also be travelling to Sydney to compete against the combined NSW Under 18 representative squads, from December 29th to the 1st of January, with two additional teams rotating in, from January 2nd โ€“ 5th.

On his recent trip to Florida with his 16U team ‘The NSW Bluesox’ who took out 1st place in the Jackie Robinson Labor Day Beach Bash. Unfortunately, due to worsening weather conditions, the second tournament was obstructed allowing only three games to take place.ย ๐Ÿ‘
However, that did not slow Lachlan’s determination. He has been selected for the U18’s Macarthur Orioles Team as well as the Macarthur Team for the Sydney Cup with games taking place every second Sunday.ย ๐Ÿ’ช
If that wasn’t enough on his plate, Lachlan is currently in the final stage of NSW Trials for the Australian Youth Championships to take place in January 2023.
What an experience, we wish you the Best of Luck Lachlan!

The National Junior Squad, selected on the back of last monthโ€™s Junior Camp in Canberra, will leave Australia for the US in late August.

The final team will depart for the September 9-18 World Cup in Bradenton and Sarasota. Players that are not selected for the World Cup squad will stay at Perfect Gameโ€™s facility for more recruitment and competition opportunities.

This guy Madden Willmott currently playing baseball in Florida with the Aussie Waves team.
Tonight, Aussie Waves played their second game against The Vipers at Palm Beach Gardens, amazing to see the quality of the baseball facilities the boys get to experience playing on!
They came away with the win! 9-7 with a cracker hit by Madden.
